Sheela Nathan has been an educator for nearly 30 years, in primary and secondary schools, at state schools & Christian schools, in a variety of subjects. She holds a Bachelor of Education from Edith Cowan University, a Master of Education from the National Institute of Christian Education and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Notre Dame. At present, she is pursuing studies at Classical U to be better equipped to be a classical Christian educator. She enjoys reading, quilting and gardening, but prefers deep and meaningful conversations with friends and family over a cuppa. Sheela and her husband, Alex have three adult children and two grandchildren.
Teachers and Volunteers – Coram Deo Micro-schools count on the support of a team of teachers and volunteers. Some are:
– Qualified and experienced teachers
– Not fully credited teachers looking for more experience teaching;
– Well-known members of our Christian community (with a superior degree);
– A parent who is able to support teachers and volunteers.
Volunteers at the Micro-schools are only invited to work with us by personal references and are required to have a Working With Children Check. They are also required to do an online course on Classical Christian education and have weekly discussions about different themes designed to give a deeper understanding of, or a refresher in the principles, thinkers and subjects of classical learning and pedagogy.
